• Dalle 7:30 alle 9:30 si alternano osservazioni del cielo e del volo degli uccelli, consultazioni dei vari siti web meteo, analisi delle possibili combinazioni di abbigliamento con relative prove sul terrazzo. Ad un certo punto, sono così confuso che l'unica cosa chiara è l'esclusione dei dopo-sci e della giacca di montone. Continua a piovigginare.

• 10:45 - BOOM! Il colpo di cannone da il via alla gara. Prima di passare sotto la linea di partenza ufficiale ci vuole più di un minuto. Invece di correre si cammina.
